Parish Kohanim is an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer known for his distinctive visual style and masterful use of light, form, and color. He began his career as a commercial photographer, working with top ad agencies, design firms, and Fortune 500 clients such as IBM, AT&T, Coca-Cola, DeBeers Diamonds, Hanes, Fossil, and Kimberly-Clark. His images have appeared in major publications including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Forbes, Time, and Newsweek, earning him numerous national and international awards.
For over 20 years, Parish has devoted himself to his first love—creating unique, soulful, and timeless fine art inspired by a lifelong pursuit of beauty and a desire to share the sublime essence of the natural world. His process is deeply intuitive and rooted in curiosity and discovery, allowing each image to emerge organically.
Consistently original, diverse, inventive, and timeless—these are the hallmarks of Parish’s photography. His uncommon use of color—both vibrant and pastel—as well as his luminous black-and-white images have become his distinctive signature.
In his acclaimed book Luminosa, Parish collaborated with Cirque du Soleil performers for over five years, capturing dynamic images at 1/5000th of a second. The result is a breathtaking body of work—“frozen moments” that celebrate the beauty, strength, and astonishing capabilities of the human form.
Parish has been a proud member of Canon’s prestigious Explorers of Light program since 1994, an honor reserved for a small group of elite photographers worldwide—and he remains an active member to this day. He is also part of Canon’s Print Master Program and has served on Apple’s Advisory Board for Aperture Software.
