Athlete with Kitten explores the extraordinary balance between physical power and quiet compassion. A muscular athlete, poised in a moment of complete stillness, gently cradles a tiny kitten in his hands. The dramatic contrast in scale transforms the sculpture into a meditation on tenderness, reminding us that true strength is measured not by force, but by restraint, empathy, and care. Richard MacDonald masterfully captures the tension of the athlete's compressed form while revealing the vulnerability that lies beneath outward power. Richly expressive and emotionally resonant, Athlete with Kitten celebrates the profound connection between strength, humility, and the universal instinct to protect life's most delicate moments.
