  • Dancing Waters, Variation
“Dancing Waters” is a striking work of a female figure, diving and seemingly weightless, is one of Richard MacDonald’s most beautiful female forms, with classical features that reflect serenity and peace. The master’s clay was inspired by the tender words of the great poet, Rumi as the masterpiece takes root and communicates life’s journey—to find yourself, to love yourself, to dive deeper. As we explore the depths of our being, past and present, Dancing Waters connects us to nature and the natural world. The architectonic wall depicts graphic shapes of liquid ocean. As the shades move from light to darkness, we become vulnerable to truth and understanding. A thousand times deeper we find “Love.” The meaning of this piece is richly layered and will keep revealing new secrets over time.

“You’ve been walking the ocean’s edge, holding up your robes to keep them dry...You must dive naked under AND deeper under, a thousand times deeper! Love flows down.”

- RUMI
