These are the words contemporary master Richard MacDonald uses in describing his world renowned Mime Series. MacDonald’s trademark skill at investing his evocative bronze images with movement and life is never more evident than in his innovative and eloquent mimes. Sometimes enigmatic and most assuredly metaphoric, MacDonald’s engaging performers invite the audience to be its own storyteller.
In the spirit of his classical mimes, Richard MacDonald's iconic work entitled Rain, Atelier offers us an experience with rain, wind, movement, and joy. We feel the wind blowing the scarves; we see him holding an imaginary umbrella; we sense the water dripping from the mimes palm onto the ground below.
