A celebration of fragility, color, and motion, The Weight of Light exemplifies Larisa Safaryan’s ability to make the delicate feel powerful. Hand-applied fragments of real eggshell—Safaryan’s signature medium—float across a luminous, dreamlike landscape. Hues of violet, emerald, and sky blue blend in sweeping currents, while vibrant clusters of yellow, red, and lavender create a sense of joy, uplift, and quiet transformation.
In this work, light itself becomes a material: glowing softly from the shadows of each shell, dancing across the surface, and anchoring the weightless in space. Both contemplative and exuberant, The Weight of Light is a poetic reminder of resilience and beauty in even the most fragile forms.
